Adonel Concrete Opens Second Plant in Fort Lauderdale

Adonel Concrete, South Florida’s largest independently owned concrete company, has opened its second concrete plant in northeast Broward County.

Built on four acres of land, the new plant is adjacent to Adonel’s existing Fort Lauderdale location at 5551 NW 9th Avenue.  The new plant is capable of producing 200 yards of concrete per hour.  An additional 30 new Adonel Concrete trucks will be housed at the plant.

“I am optimistic about the future of construction on Florida’s east coast,” said Adonel president Luis Garcia, “and this new plant enables us to better serve our customers in south Palm Beach, and in north and east Broward County.”

Among its many residential projects, Adonel is providing concrete for 1,000 homes being built by Lennar Homes at its MiraLago community in the City of Parkland and for KD Construction, whose newest project Broadstone at Harbor Beach, will consist of three, eight-story apartment buildings (350 units) and two parking garages.

Headquartered in Miami-Dade County, Adonel Concrete was founded in 1984 and currently has 12 concrete plants in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Fort Pierce. The company now operates three plants in Haiti and is supplying concrete for a number of projects in Port-au-Prince.  It has more than 210 employees and a fleet of 150 trucks.
